Returns & Store Credit Policy

We want you to feel confident and excited about every purchase from Erma Jean. Because we thoughtfully curate small collections and prioritize personal service, we’ve outlined the following guidelines to ensure fairness for all customers.

Final Sale Items

The following items are final sale and may not be returned or exchanged for any reason:

  • Discounted or sale items
  • Accessories (including jewelry, scarves, bags, hats, etc.)
  • Home décor (paper goods, candles, home goods, etc.)
  • Beauty items (lotions, lip balms, scrubs, etc.)
  • Items discounted due to imperfection or damage

We appreciate your understanding—these policies allow us to continue offering unique, high-quality pieces at thoughtful prices.

In-Store Returns

Non–final sale items purchased in-store may be returned within 14 days of purchase for store credit only.

To be eligible for return:

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and unaltered
  • Original tags must be attached
  • Items must be free of makeup, stains, odors, or signs of wear
  • Shoes must be unworn and returned in their original box. (We recommend trying shoes on in a carpeted area.)

Approved returns will be issued as store credit saved securely to your customer account, making it easy to use whenever you’re ready. If you prefer a physical gift card, we’re happy to provide one upon request.

To ensure fairness for all customers, we reserve the right to decline returns that do not meet these guidelines.

Store Credit & Gift Card Expiration

Store credit and gift cards are valid for one year from the issue date.

This timeframe helps us continue offering thoughtfully curated collections while encouraging timely use of your credit. We recommend using your store credit sooner rather than later—we’d love to help you find your next favorite piece.

Online Returns

Non–final sale items purchased in-store may be returned within 14 days of delivery for store credit only.

If you plan to return an item purchased online, please log into your account at https://account.shopermajean.com. Customers sign in using a one-time code sent to your email—no password required. This ensures your return is linked to your account for easy tracking and store credit issuance.

Request Your Return

Once logged in, select the item(s) you wish to return. You may choose to:
  1. Ship the item back yourself using a carrier of your choice, or
  2. Purchase a pre-paid, trackable return label from Erma Jean for $8.99.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Original shipping fees are non-refundable. A flat-rate label provides convenience and tracking, and ensures your return is processed smoothly. Erma Jean is not responsible for lost or damaged return packages.

Once your return is received, you will be notified by email. If the return is approved, store credit will be issued within 1–3 business days and securely saved to your customer account. Store credit is valid for one year from the issue date and may be used online or in-store.
