The Richmond Christmas Mother Fund began in 1935 with the mission to help bring Christmas to children in need in Richmond. Almost 90 years later, this Christmas assistance program, run by the Richmond Times-Dispatch, continues to support children, families, and seniors through partnerships with The Salvation Army, Feed More, and over 50 local non-profits through The Community Foundation. Donations go toward winter coats, toys, meals, and the financial and emotional support that some Richmond families need to celebrate a special holiday season.
